This is no surprise and it may well be that the big names still contest the latter stages but this weekend will surely determine who from the outsiders is going to be a genuine contender? DTM likes Emma Navarro to beat the defending champion. Sonay Kartal is definitely worth backing to beat Diane Parry. DTM watched both this week live and this is definitely a match up the British player can win. Bucsa is much more experienced and should beat Sierra. The big guns to side with are definitely Amanda Anisimova and Naomi Osaka who are both likely to play a bit more tennis At Wimbledon this year.
DTM recommends
E.Navarro to beat B.Krejcikova
C.Bucsa to beat S.Sierra
A.Anisimova to beat D.Galfi
N.Osaka to beat A.Pavlyuchenkova
S.Kartal to beat D.Parry
DTM has been at Wimbledon for the past 3 days soaking up all the atmosphere as well as watching most of the field. A few shocks already but also confirmation who is a serious contender. All the photos and updates will be shared from tomorrow when DTM is back. The three matches listed at the bottom are very strong.

All to win their second round match:)
A.Kalinskaya to beat C.Tauson
D.Collins to beat V.Erjavec
L.Samsonova to beat Y.Starodubtseva
DTM is so far 3 out of 3 and if Fran Jones wins on Tuesday then his four opening Round 1 predictions will have been successfuL Elsewhere Taylor Townsend has already won 3 qualifiersand has a big weapon with her serve. Sofia Kenin is not a grass court lover. A good option for a shock:)
DTM recommends
T.Townsend to beat S.Kenin
F.Jones to beat Y.Starodubtseva 10/11
The first round always throws up a few surprises. Ann Li has been playing well and is a good option to beat V.Golubic who is overrated based on past glories. The younger American is good value here. DTM believes this year's Wimbledon could well be the most open for years. The draw has certainly loaded several sections with possible winners.
The top section has Sabalenka seeded #1 with Vondrousova and Raducanu. Only one of these players can make round 4. Arguably all 3 have a shot at winning with proven grass court form. Madison Keys.

The top section has Sabalenka seeded #1 with Vondrousova and Raducanu. Only one of these players can make round 4. Arguably all 3 have a shot at winning with proven grass court form. Madison Keys. Vekic, Svitolina and Paula Badosa make up the quarter which appears to be very loaded with potential winners. Only one of these players can make the semi final ! Eeeek !
The second quarter has Paolini and Zheng as the highest seeds but both are not natural grass court players. Shnaider and Anisimova are arguably the most likely to come through this quarter. Ons Jabeur would like to be a threat but as yet her form suggests otherwise. DTM likes Amanda Anisimova the most from the top half. Her form is great, her grass form is excellent despite an unusual loss to Maria and she has the game for a fast hot Wimbledon. DTM likes her powerful second serve which is definitely the right strategy on grass and she also has the return to threaten opponents :)
The bottom half is less loaded with both Jessica Pegula and Elena Rybakina the obvious names to do well. If Coco Gauff or Mirra Andreeva get to the quarter final they will be a threat and won 4 matches on grass. The conditions will help make the grass more like hard courts so this will be a factor. DTM likes Jessica Pegula to do well in the third section and Elena Rybakina to come through the bottom quarter:)
DTM recommends
A.Anisimova to win the second quarter
A.Anisimova each way to win Wimbledon @ 33/1
Jessica Pegula to win the third quarter
Elena Rybakina to win the fourth quarter
J.Pegula each way to win Wimbledon @ 33/1
DTM believes this year's Wimbledon is wide open and a considerable number of players have a shot at the ultimate prize in tennis :) After eight different winners in the last eight years the trend appears likely to continue.

DTM has highlighted tennisabstract.com before. This is a great place to start when considering who is most likely to win this year. As with any big event the top 10 in the world rankings is a natural place to start. Within that list you also need grass court proven form which helps to narrow down the number of possibilities:)
The top half of he draw has pitted some strong options for the title. Sabalenka looks like having a few tough matches just to get to the semis this time. Marketa Vondrousova and Madison Keys are serious obstacles. DTM likes the second quarter as neither of the top two seeds in this section have grass court form this season whereas both Amanda Anisimova and Diana Shnaider do. Anisimova looked very good at Queeens and despite an unusual defeat in the final to Maria her game looks great for a sunny Wimbledon. Her serve is a real weapon as are her returns. On slower grass her movement can be questioned but the courts will play more like hard courts so expect the American to continue her good form:)
The bottom half is likely to see Elena Rybakina and Coco Gauff battle it out in the bottom section but both have question marks at present. Gauff has no form at Wimbledon and it's simply really tough to win two grand slams back to back. Rybakina keeps on throwing in a poor loss despite threatening to win. The third quarter is where to find the finalist. Jessica Pegula is peaking at the right time. She will be far too strong for Andreeva who will possibly not be ready to win on grass for a few more years. Her defeat against Noskova last week is a realistic indicator of her game. Jessica Pegula can keep up the American run at slams in 2025 and go deep this year.
Amanda Anisimova
Jessica Pegula
Both each way for the title :)
Both to win their quarters :)
DTM has gone for two 33/1 shots to do well at Wimbledon this year. But who outside of the top 16 seeds has a shot at the title?
In no particular order these 3 players may not win the title but could defeat higher seeds at any point:
Linda Noskova
A.Eala
L.Samsonova
The Wimbledon website is great for information about the venue and of course all the players and the various draws across singles and doubles. The third grand slam is always a wonderful occasion.
