Cincinnati August 7th to 18th

Veronika Kudermetova has been the surprise of this week and she is expected to make at least the semi final. It is possible she even reaches the final such is the inconsistent form of Coco Gauff. Jasmine Paolini is capable of an upset in that match up. The top half is all about Iga Swiatek. She is definitely the favourite in DTM's mind. Elena Rybakina is likely to push Sabalenka and DTM believes this is the match from which Rybakina regains her match winning belief.

Jasmine Paolini should overcome Barbora Krejcikova. Here wins in Cincinnati have been the more impressive. She enjoys the hot conditions and will have too much consistency for Krejcikova who only just got past Jovic the round before. Ella Seidel is having a great run and assuming she copes with he occasion can beat Gracheva. At the prices Seidel is the value at 6/4 in a match which could go either way.

E.Seidel v  V.Gracheva to be  a 3 set match

Jessica Pegula will return to court to try and complete a comeback victory against Magda Linette. The Polish player is a good benchmark of where a player's game is at given her solid form on hard courts over her career. Pegula should win but is clearly lacking confidence after a poor run of form since the start of Wimbledon. A deep run here would help her belief heading off to New York:) Iga Swiatek is DTM's pick for the event so a victory over Cirstea is expected. As is a win for Clara Tauson over Kudermetova but be prepared for a reaction from Tauson who has played a lot of tennis. It is possible there is an upset in this match because Kudermetova is a gutsy player who has recently returned inside the top 40 in the world.

Karolina Muchova is finally looking match fit and with confidence in her physical attributes she will have too much variety for Gracheva. Obviously with Osaka's non show and after seeing Sabalenka's match with Raducanu, it is sensible to consider Iga Swiatek as the most likely to win in Cincinnati now:)

Ella Seidel has a good chance to beat P.Kudermetova on the same basis as yesterday's tip. Kudermetova has really struggled for any kind of match win so will not find it easy against a young player rising up the rankings. 

Taylor Townsend represents value to beat Danielle Collins who can be very hot but also very cold. Townsend is flying on the doubles court and will fancy a shot at her American colleague:) 

Later on Saturday Alycia Parks has a shot at beating an under played Barbora Krejcikova. DTM also likes Peyton Stearns to turn up and give Anna Kalinskaya a tough battle. The Russian is not known for her battling qualities and she might just be happy with her run to the Washington final and succumb to the local favourite:)
