In 2018 on February 10th, after struggling for six years with Alzheimer’s and the inevitable and difficult decline that comes with this disease, my wonderful Mum passed away. This website is devoted to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research. It is one of my ways of remembering my amazing childhood where my parents, especially my Mum supported my tennis career and afforded me many great opportunities on the tennis court where I played tennis tournaments all over the country throughout the 1980s. Backhandtips.com and the associated posts on social media are all devoted to raising money for the charity Alzheimer’s Research UK. Any funds the site and the predictions raise are for this important and worthwhile charity.

Please note
Whilst this site has an impressive record in terms of the ongoing win % of over 60% we are not promoting gambling as a way of making an income. Betting companies are not going to allow successful gambling for any significant length of time. You will inevitably be banned from sites within a very short period of time if you try to invest meaningful sums on winning selections. Betting as a way of earning money is impossible. Please do not bet with this intention. This site advises minimal consistent stakes of £1 from which raising a few pounds for a good cause is possible and BHT’s only purpose:) We would encourage the safer gambling message and also ask the betting companies who make huge profits to also donate some funds to good causes.

(As shared on Chalkdust episode 4)
Submit just two names for the men’s and 2 names for the women’s draw at each of the grand slams in 2026 or any year thereafter you choose to run the league:)
Selection 1 has to be a top 8 seeded player (maximum 100 points up for grabs)
Selection 2 has to be from outside the top 8 seeds (maximum 100 points up for grabs)
A total of 200 points for each event awarded as follows :
If your selection 1 wins you get a maximum 100 points 💯 or an equal share of those points if there is more than one winner eg If Sinner wins and 5 people have selected him they each get 20 points. If Taylor Fritz wins and only two people have selected him they would each get 50 points. If no one selects the event winner then the selection that gets the furthest in the tournament secures the points (shared in the same way if there is a tie). This would also apply if selections that go the furthest in the event all lose in the same round eg Alcaraz and Sinner both lost in the semi finals and these were the only two selected from everyone’s selection 1 pick 🙂
Selection 2 receives a maximum of 100 points as well. This player has to go further than any other selection 2 pick. This pool of selected picks is not competing with selection 1 picks in terms of the Fantasy League. They can only return a maximum of 100 points as well. It could be they get to Round 4 yet still go further than anyone else’s selection 2 pick. This would gain you 100 💯 points. If different selected players all reached the quarterfinals but then lost they would share the 100 points equally as explained for selection 1 picks.
Overall the FL this year is going to provide more jeopardy than last year. More points can be won by your selection 2 pick because they have a good run like Boisson did last year at the French Open than an obvious, predictable winner such as Alcaraz. You might be the only person to select Boisson and gain 100 points whereas Alcaraz will possibly be everyone’s selection resulting in 12.5 points if he’s eight people’s selection 1 pick. Even if people believe either Alcaraz or Sinner is going to win you’re having to at least choose between two players as you can’t pick both this year :)
Finally if you have a pointless event then one great outside pick at the US Open could see you gain 100 points and go from last to first so the FL stays very much winnable for all entrants 💪 right to the last day 🙂
Whoever has the most points come September at the end of the US Open takes 75% of the prize money (total combined entry fees - suggested amount £5 per entry 🙂) In the event of a tie the winner is determined by the most grand slams won across all their picks 🙂 If it is still a tie then the prize money is split 👏
The runner up gets the other 25% 🙂
This is a non profit event 👍
You simply need to submit your players names by WhatsApp to the chosen admin person. Keep a google doc or equivalent with all the entrants and their picks and award points after each grand slam has finished. Finally add up the points in September after the US Open his finished to discover who has come 1st and 2nd :) Have fun :)

Our team consists of experienced analysts who devote time and energy in keeping up to date with everything there is to know about the WTA tour. Our jewel in the crown is DTM, "Dan the man" who has over 40 years experience in the tennis profession, firstly as an excellent player in the 80s & 90s, then as a professional coach and more recently as a tennis analyst with a very impressive track record.

DTM had a great 2025 :) He successfully highlighted Madison Keys as a great investment to win the first slam of the season in Australia. At 66-1 or even 70-1 his advice was to back her each way. Even to just DTM’s sensible investment of one pound each way you would have reaped 100 x that :) Since then he has tipped up Alexandrova to win in Linz and Mirra Andreeva to win in Dubai. BHT has since then highlighted Coco Gauff to win the French Open and Amanda Anisimova to reach he Wimbledon final. Other wins have included Elina Svitolina winning in Rouen and Iga Swiatek winning in Korea. The final few weeks of 2025 saw DTM also provide Victoria Mboko and Elena Rybakina to both win in Hong Kong and Riyadh:)
The target of raising £200 for Alzheimer’s Research UK has been reached:) Over 320 points profit on the season.
In 2024 DTM successfully tipped up Danielle Collins as being the player to beat at the WTA 1000 event in Miami. Also advised her to follow up at Charleston a week later. He then tipped up Madison Keys to win in Strasbourg. Previously his tips included Coco Gauff to win the US Open and Marketa Vondrousova to win Wimbledon at the beginning of the second week. Back in 2021 his expert knowledge predicted Barbara Krejcikova to win the French Open at the huge odds 150/1:)
